ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- For the second consecutive week, senior middle blocker Lindsay Stalzer (Kewanee, Ill./Kewanee) has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Stalzer averaged 7.18 kills and 3.09 digs per game, while boasting a .301 hitting percentage as she helped the Braves to a 3-0 record last week. She broke Bradley's record for kills in a three-game match with 29 in the Braves three-game sweep of Butler, while also adding eight digs and hitting .414 on the night. She followed that with 27 kills and 12 digs in the Braves 3-1 road victory at Creighton, before capping of the week with team highs of 23 kills and 14 digs at Drake.

She moved into second place on Bradley's career kills list with the 29-kill effort against Butler, while helping the Braves to their best start in conference play since the 2002 season. Stalzer is the first Valley player to be named Player of the Week in consecutive weeks since Northern Iowa's Molly O'Brien won the award the final three weeks of the 2002 season.

Stalzer and the Braves (6-6 overall, 2-0 MVC) return to action Friday when Bradley hosts Evansville at 7 p.m. at Robertson Memorial Field House.
