INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Freshman Kyle Shay fired a team-best one-under par 70 and senior Josh Brown shot a 72 during Tuesday's final round of the Butler Fall Invitational to help the Braves to a seventh place finish in the 13-team field.

The Braves entered the day in a tie with tournament host Butler for eighth place, but shot a 292 on the final 18 holes to edge Youngstown State by one shot to finish seventh overall with a two-round total of 590. Brown was Bradley's top finisher, tying for 14th place at 145 after carding rounds of 73 and 72 during the two days.  Please click on the pdf at the bottom of this page to view the complete results.

Shay had a strong outing in his Bradley debut, shooting a team-best 70 to jump into the top 20, one shot behind Brown in a tie for 17th at 146. Senior Craig Tautges and junior Scott Phegley turned in 76s Tuesday. Tautges tied for 29th place at 149, while Phegley finished in a tie for 49th at 152. Junior Brad Molitor had a nice recovery after shooting 84 on Monday to tie a career low with a 74 in the final round. Molitor finished in a tie for 73rd at 158.

DePaul matched its 284 from Monday during Tuesday's round and ran away with the team title with a score of 568. Southern Illinois was second at 574, while Morehead State made a late push with a tournament-low 281 to finish third at 577. Wisconsin-Green Bay took fourth at 578, with Eastern Illinois one shot back in fifth at 579.

Loyola-Chicago was two shots better than Bradley in sixth place at 588, with the Braves placing at 590. Youngstown State's 591 was good for eighth place, while Butler (9th - 595), IUPUI (10th - 601), Creighton (11th - 602). Indianapolis (12th - 610) and IPFW (13th - 611) rounded out the field, respectively.

The Braves return to action October 10 & 11 at the Ironhorse Intercollegiate in Tuscola, Ill.
