CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Bradley committed a season-low nine turnovers and had four players reach double figures, but couldn't overcome a hot shooting night by Northern Iowa as the Panthers posted an 82-68 victory against the Braves Saturday afternoon at the West Gym in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Bradley (5-11 overall, 1-6 MVC) had just 10 players in uniform with leading scorer Devyn Flanagan and senior guard Molly Hartke both serving one game suspensions for violating team rules. Junior guard Jen Brown led the Braves with 14 points, while Amy Peters (13 points), Skye Johnson (12 points) and Libby Magnuson (10 points, six assists) each reached double figures.

Northern Iowa (10-6 overall, 4-3 MVC) shot a blistering 63 percent in the game, including 71.4 percent in the second half of play. Tara King and Cassie Hager did the majority of the damage for the Panthers as the duo hit 22-of-27 shots and combined for 58 of UNI's 82 points.

The Braves trailed by as many as nine points in the opening half, but pulled to within two points at 22-20 on a runner in the lane by junior guard Jen Brown. King helped the Panthers push the lead back to seven points at the break, hitting three of her five first-half three-pointers in the final 2:25 of the half as UNI took a 36-29 lead at the half.

Bradley scored the first five points of the second half to pull to within 36-34, but Northern Iowa responded with a 10-0 run that included five points from King to push the advantage to 46-34 with 16:27 to play. The Braves cut the deficit to eight points at 52-44, before Northern Iowa extended its lead to as many as 16 points at 68-52 with 6:38 remaining.

The Braves used a 12-4 run to cut the UNI lead to 72-64 with just over four minutes to play, but Bradley could get no closer in the closing minutes as the Panthers held off the Braves rally attempts for the 82-68 victory.

Brown hit 6-of-11 shots from the field and finished with a team-best 14 points. She also added two assists to pass Karen Anderson for seventh place on Bradley's career assist list.

King led all scorers with 32 points and 10 rebounds for Northern Iowa. She hit 11-of-16 shots from the field and was a perfect 6-for-6 from beyond the three-point arc. Hager added 26 points as she made all 11 of her shots from the field.

Bradley continues its three-game Valley road swing Thursday when the Braves face Missouri State at 7:05 p.m. in Springfield, Mo.
