PEORIA, Ill. -- For the second consecutive year senior attacker Amber DeBroux (Byron, Ill./Byron) has been named a second-team All-Missouri Valley Conference selection, announced by the league office Wednesday.
A first-team MVC Scholar-Athlete this season, DeBroux led Bradley with 361 kills and a .217 attack percentage. In addition to ranking second on the team with a 3.54 kills per game average, she was also third on the team in both aces (15) and blocks (55) and her 168 digs was the fourth-best total on the squad.
DeBroux averaged a team-best 3.47 kills per game in conference play and was the only player to hit better than .200 in league games, boasting a .232 attack percentage. She finished her career 16th on Bradley's career kills list with 844 career kills.
She garnered second-team All-MVC honors last season as a junior in 2005 after ranking third on the team in kills (244) and kills per game (2.03). DeBroux led all outside hitters in attack percentage in 2005, with a .231 hitting percentage.
