Bradley senior center Zach Andrews was the subject of a Thanksgiving-themed feature in the New Jersey Star-Ledger Nov. 24. To read the story by Star-Ledger reporter Jerry Izenberg, visit http://www.nj.com/search/index.ssf?/base/columns-0/1164346739259250.xml?starledger?colize&coll=1.
Andrews is a 6-foot-8 center who transferred to Bradley from Yuba (Calif.) College for the 2005-06 season. After playing behind 7-footer Patrick O'Bryant for the majority of his junior season, Andrews has emerged as Bradley's starter this year and he enters Sunday's game at Michigan State averaging 14.6 points and 9.9 rebounds per game.
Izenberg's story, however, focuses on Andrews' childhood in California, where he was raised primarily in the foster care system.
