Peoria, Ill. ? The Bradley Braves got their second consecutive strong pitching performance in an 8-1 win over visiting Indiana State on Saturday as senior Collin Walker (Channahon, Ill./Minooka) took a perfect game into the sixth inning en route to his first win of the year.

Walker retired the first 16 Indiana State hitters he faced, getting 11 ground ball outs, before a one-out double down the leftfield line ended the perfect game and no-hit bids for the Bradley right-hander.  Walker promptly struck out the next two hitters to halt any attempted rally.

The Bradley senior finished with a season-high eight strikeouts, walk none and tied a season-low, allowing just the one run in 8.1 innings of work.

The Bradley offense was efficient once again, producing eight runs on nine hits of previously unbeaten ISU starter Ryan Hayes. 

Junior Ryan Curry (Downers Grove, Ill./South) spearheaded the Braves' attack with a 3-for-4 effort at the plate with three runs batted in.  Curry singled home a pair of runs in a four-hit, four-run Bradley sixth that staked the Braves to an 8-0 lead.

Eight different Braves crossed the plate and five hitters picked up RBIs in a repeat of a cumulative effort that has overwhelmed Indiana State through the series' first two contests.

The victory moves the Braves to 13-14 overall, 6-2 in MVC play.

The Braves look to sweep the Sycamores on Sunday when they send freshman Collin Brennan (Williamsville, Ill./Williamsville) (3-0, 4.34 ERA)to the hill to face Indiana State's Andrew Galle (2-1, 1.85 ERA) for a 1 p.m. start.
