LAWRENCE, Kan. ? Sophomore designated hitter Peter Malinowski drove in four runs and was one of seven Bradley players with two hits, leading the Braves (23-24) to a 14-2 non-conference baseball victory versus Northern Colorado (15-30) in the first game of the Jayhawk Classic Friday afternoon at Hoglund Ballpark.

The Jayhawk Classic is a three-team triangular hosted by Kansas.  Bradley will take on the host Jayhawks for the first time in the program's 106-year history in Friday's event nightcap and again Saturday afternoon.

Malinowski sparked Bradley's offensive outburst Friday versus UNC by drilling a 2-run home run, his fourth homer of the season, in the first inning.  He added a bases-loaded walk to cap a 3-run second inning and an RBI single in the fifth as Bradley stretched its lead to 11-1.

Junior right-hander Michael Christl (4-3) took advantage of the offensive support and cruised through seven innings by allowing just one run on five hits, while striking out seven.  Junior outfielder Brock Luxmore pitched the final two innings, allowing one run on three hits.

Senior ace Brandon Magee (7-3) is expected to toe the rubber in Friday's matchup versus the Jayhawks.
