In the Central Illinois Collegiate League, rising sophomore infielder Dan Brewer had the most significant game of the week, going 2-for-3 with three runs batted in during DuPage County's 10-1 win Monday night versus Galesburg.  In his three games since the last update, Brewer hit .300 (3-10).

Senior outfielder Justin Carr also had a big game Monday night, going 1-for-3 with a double, a run scored, two runs batted in and a sacrifice hit in Springfield's 8-5 victory versus Danville.  Carr's Bradley teammate, rising sophomore outfielder Colby Luttrell, also contributed to Monday night's win for Springfield, drawing a walk and a hit-by-pitch, scoring a run and driving a run home.

In the Northwoods League, Michael Christl and Ryan Curry both had a rough week for the St. Cloud River Bats.  Although Curry went 3-for-5 in Thursday's 5-1 win at Duluth, he hit just 4-for-23 (.174) in the six games since the last update.  Curry is now hitting .200 with three doubles and five runs batted in through 15 games for St. Cloud.

Christl (2-1) suffered his first loss of the summer season Wednesday night, allowing five runs on seven hits in the first 4.0 innings of Duluth's 5-2 victory versus St. Cloud.  The rising Bradley senior right-hander still sports a 2.65 earned run average and he has struck out 17 in his first 17.0 innings for the River Bats.

Elsewhere around the summer baseball circuit, outfielder Brad Jones is hitting .235 through his first five games with Kutztown in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League, helping the Rockies to a 6-1 start.  Pitcher Rob Scahill is 1-1 with a 3.65 ERA in his first two starts for the Allegany County Nitros in the New York Collegiate Baseball League.

On the soccer pitch, it was a slow week for Bradley's seven participants in the Premier Development League.  The Ogden (Utah) Outlaws, which is serving as the summer team for four current Braves, as well as former Bradley defender Duane Glinton, had the week off and will not return to action until Friday.  Drew DeGurian and Teddy Anderson both are playing for the Chicago Fire Premier, but DeGurian is nursing an injury and Anderson played only three minutes this past weekend.
