CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- Senior Amber DeBroux tallied a team-high 13 kills and added 11 digs for her third double-double of the season, but the Braves hit just .068 on the night in a 21-30, 31-29, 27-30, 25-30 loss at Southeast Missouri State Wednesday night in non-conference volleyball action in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Bradley fell to 3-8 on the season with the loss.
DeBroux was the only Bradley player to reach double figures in kills and was one of three Braves in double figures in digs, as she recorded her fourth career double-double. Sophomore Katrina Goncher chipped in with a career best nine kills, while freshman Kaitlyn Comiskey and sophomore Brooke Bond both tied for team-high honors with career highs of 15 digs each.
Southeast Missouri State (6-7 overall) has two players reach double figures in kills. Jessica Koeper paced the Redhawks with match-highs of 20 kills and 26 digs. Brittany Hastings added 19 kills, while Hannah Weis notched eight kills and hit at a .438 clip, helping SEMO to a .175 hitting percentage on the night.
Senior Amy McFarland recorded a career high four block solos and also had three block assists and a season-high seven kills to help highlight the evening for Bradley.
Bradley continues its three-match road swing Friday with a 7 p.m. match at Missouri State in Springfield, Mo.
