PEORIA, Ill. -- Anticiapting a sellout (11,140) crowd, the Bradley Ticket Office has been able to secure 500 standing room only tickets for tonight's (7:35 p.m.) Interstate 74 Rivalry game between Bradley and Illinois State at Carver Arena.
By selling the majority of the 500 available “standing room only” tickets, Bradley could top the single-game home attendance record of 11,430 for the Nov. 22, 1999 game against Illinois. Regardless of whether or not the “standing room only” tickets become necessary for tonight's game, the crowd will rank as one of the top 10 in Bradley Basketball history. The Braves have sold out two home games to date this year, attracting then capacity crowds of 11,080 for the season-opener versus DePaul and Saturday's game against Wichita State. The 60 extra seats added to the lower bowl student section are now factored into the seating manifest, pushing Carver Arena's basketball capacity back up to 11,140.
In addition to the overall attendance figure, Bradley is expecting to break the single-game record for student attendance, which was set with 1,253 for the season-opener versus DePaul.
While only a handful of $15 tickets remain for tonight's game, the “standing room only” tickets are $8 for the general public and $1 for Bradley students and may be purchased at the Bradley Ticket Office or the Carver Arena Box Office throughout the day.
