PEORIA, Ill. -- Former Bradley star Anthony Parker returned to the NBA as a member of the Toronto Raptors for the 2006-07 season, but his success with Maccabi Elite Tel-Aviv was remembered by the correspondents of the international basketball website Eurobasket.com, who recently named him the 2006 All-Europe first team and the All-Europe Small Forward of the Year.

The 2006-06 Euroleague Player of the Year after leading Maccabi Elite to the Euroleague Finals, Parker signed a three-year contract with the Toronto Raptors last summer and he has done well in his return to the NBA.  The 1996 Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year and a first-round pick in the 1997 NBA Draft, Parker is averaging 11.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists for the Raptors (15-19), who begin the week holding a slim, half-game lead over New Jersey in the Atlantic Division standings.

In other Bradley Basketball news on the European front, forward Marcellus Sommerville's contract in Hungary has been bought out by Angers BC 49 in the French Pro B league.  Sommerville, a  three-time All-MVC performer at Bradley, made his French debut Friday with 19 points and four rebounds in a 73-69 loss.

Sommerville joins former Valley Defensive Player of the Year Jerome Robinson in France's Pro B league.  Robinson plays for Etendard de Brest.  While Sommerville's new squad is last in the 18-team Pro B league with a 4-11 record, Robinson's side begins the week tied for fifth with an 8-7 league record.  Robinson is averaging 13.5 points and 2.7 rebounds per game for his French team.  A third former Brave, Aba Koita, played in the Pro B league as recently as the 2004-05 season, but he currently is not listed with a club this year.
