For the third year in a row, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association has recognized the Bradley softball team as one of the top academic teams in the country. The Braves' cumulative grade point average of 3.379 for the 2006-2007 school year ranks 17th among Division I softball programs.
It's the second time in three years Bradley has been ranked in the top 25 academically, as the Braves put together a cumulative grade point average of 3.458 to rank seventh nationally in 2004-2005.
"I am very proud of this team and their ongoing commitment to success in the classroom," head coach Buddy Foster said. "To have the 17th ranked team GPA of all Division I programs in the country is a testament to that commitment."
Every player on the 2007 roster qualified for the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for the 2007 spring semester.
