PEORIA, Ill. -- Junior Bari-Lynn Erais (Lethbridge, Alberta/Lethbridge Institute) has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Golf of the Week, announced by the league office Wednesday. Erais earned MVC Golfer of the Week honors for the second time in her career and she is the first Bradley women's golfer to earn the honor since Charlotte McGinnis captured the award the week of Sept. 20, 2006.

Erais rebounded from a first-round 83, tying a career-low 70 in the second round and went on to finish tied for 12th at Wolverine Invitational in Ann Arbor, Mich. She helped the Bradley women's golf team to a ninth-place finish in a field that included eight teams ranked in the top 80 according to Golf Week. Erais had rounds of 70 and 76 to finish at 229 for the tournament.

Her second-round 70 is tied for the third-best round in school history and she is now the only player in school history to own three rounds of 70 or better in intercollegiate competition. It also tied for low-round honors of the day with Eastern Michigan's Stephany Fleet, who was the runner-up at the USGA Pub Links and qualifier for the US Amateur. Erais was one shot better than Fleet, the tournament medalist, over the final 36 holes.

The MVC Golfer of the Week honors marked the 16th time a Bradley player has been honored. Erais joined former all-Valley performers Meaghan LeBlanc (four times), Agnes Kim (three times), Jenna Cannon (twice), Kelly Dillon (twice) and Carly Sobel (twice) as the only multiple winners of the award in program history.

Erais and the Braves return to action Oct. 8 & 9 at the Johnie Imes Invitational in Columbia, Mo.
