PEORIA, Ill. -- Insight Communications is providing bonus coverage of Wednesday night's Bradley men's basketball game at Loyola Chicago and three premier games at Carver Arena are nearing sellout status, two items that highlight today's “News and Notes” for the Braves.

Insight Communications to Carry LPT Broadcast

In its original contract with Bradley University, Insight Communications agreed to produce eight men's basketball telecasts during the 2007-08 season, but the local cable television provider has made arrangements with Lakeshore Public Television to make a ninth contest, Wednesday night's game at Loyola Chicago, available in Central Illinois.

The LPT 7 p.m. broadcast will be available on the Bradley Basketball Television Network, which is comprised of a grouping of Insight and Mediacom outlets stretching from the Indiana to Iowa borders across Central Illinois.  Bradley's Insight telecasts are available on channel 44 in Peoria, channel 22 in Bloomington and channel 74 in Galesburg, Morton and Pekin.  Mediacom subscribers in the Gibson City, Good Hope and Kincaid master areas may view Bradley games on Channel 78.

Michigan State Sold Out; Illinois State and Southern Illinois Near Sellout Status

The Bradley Athletics Ticket Office reports that Tuesday's men's basketball game versus #10 Michigan State at Carver Arena is sold out to the general public, with only a limited number of student tickets still remaining.

In addition to the visit by the Spartans, who could become the highest-ranked team to visit Bradley since the Braves downed #8 Tulsa, 82-79 in overtime, in the final regular-season game in Robertson Memorial Fieldhouse history Feb. 27, 1982, Bradley's two home games versus Missouri Valley Conference rivals Illinois State (Jan. 23) and #22 Southern Illinois (Feb. 26) already are nearing sellout status.  Last year's game versus the rival Redbirds drew a standing-room only crowd of 11,444 to Carver Arena, setting Bradley's all-time record for single-game home attendance.

Fans may purchase tickets to all Bradley men's basketball home games in person at the Robertson Fieldhouse Box Office, the Carver Arena Box Office or online at www.bubraves.com.  In addition to single-game purchases, the Southern Illinois game also is available as part of Bradley's “Mini-Season” package:  eight Missouri Valley Conference games (Illinois State not included) for $65.

White Out Planned for Michigan State

Tuesday's game versus #10 Michigan State will be the first of Bradley's three colored t-shirt promotions during the 2007-08 men's basketball season.  As the “White Out” game, Bradley athletics staff will place white t-shirts on the seats throughout Carver Arena for Tuesday night's game versus the Spartans.  In addition, Bradley will be sponsoring a “Stripe the Arena” promotion with red and white t-shirts for the Dec. 22 game versus VCU and a “Red Out” promotion with red t-shirts for the Feb. 16 game versus Creighton.

Flippen Out to Entertain Fans Saturday

Flippen Out, an extreme trampoline show featuring former Olympic gymnasts, will perform during halftime of Bradley's men's basketball game Saturday night against Southeast Missouri State at Carver Arena.  Tickets for Saturday's game versus the Redhawks range from $8-18 based on location and are available for purchase in person at the Robertson Fieldhouse Box Office, the Carver Arena Box Office or online at www.bubraves.com.
