PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley Basketball fans are reminded the Peoria Chiefs, the Class A Midwest League affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, will hold its second annual Bradley Night with the Chiefs Thursday at O'Brien Field.

Bradley men's basketball head coach Jim Les and 2006-07 team members will be in attendance Thursday when the Chiefs host the Arizona Diamondbacks affiliate South Bend Silver Hawks in the 6:30 p.m. game at O'Brien Field in downtown Peoria.  As part of the promotion, the Chiefs will wear specially-designed Bradley jerseys, which will be made available for a postgame auction.  Proceeds from the evening, which is being sponsored by T.G.I. Friday's, will benefit the George Shadid Jr. Scholarship Fund at Bradley University.

Single-game tickets for Peoria Chiefs home games are $6 for general admission seating in the lawn areas, $9 for box seats (beyond first and third bases) and $10 for club box seats (between first and third bases).  Bradley University alumni may print a voucher from the Bradley Athletics website -- www.bubraves.com -- that allows the purchase of club box seats for $8.  Tickets are available at the O'Brien Field box office, by phone at (309) 680-4008 or (866) 698-4253 or online through the team's official website at www.peoriachiefs.com.  For more information on Bradley Night with the Peoria Chiefs, contact the franchise at (309) 680-4000.

As an added bonus, fans attending Thursday's Bradley Night game may redeem their ticket stub for free admission to any one of the three games in the Bradley-Evansville Missouri Valley Conference series May 11-13 at O'Brien Field.  The series against the defending MVC champion Aces will be Bradley's final home games of the 2007 season.

The 2006-07 Bradley men's basketball team posted a 22-13 record and advanced to the second round of the MasterCard National Invitation Tournament.  Coming on the heels of the 2006 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 season, Bradley advanced to the postseason in consecutive seasons for the first time since a four-year run from 1994 through 1997 and the Braves achieved 22 wins in back-to-back years for the first time since 1958-59 (25-4) and 1959-60 (27-2).  The team's 44 wins since the start of the 2005-06 season are the most by the Braves in a two-year period since winning 17 games on either side of the magical 32-3 campaign of 1985-86.
