WICHITA, Kan. -- Bradley struggled offensively against 14th-ranked Wichita State Saturday as the Shockers topped the Braves 25-10, 25-15, 25-12 in Missouri Valley Conference volleyball action at Charles Koch Arena. BU fell to 4-18 overall and 0-9 in Missouri Valley Conference play with the loss.

The Shockers (20-0 overall, 9-0 MVC) cruised to a 25-10 victory in the opening set, hitting .304 in the frame. A 12-1 WSU run gave Wichita State a commanding 19-6 lead and the Shockers never looked back in the first-set victory.

In the second set, Wichita State used an 11-3 spurt to break open a 5-5 tie and take a 16-8 lead. The Shockers hit .400 in the set en route to a 25-15 win.

Wichita State forced the Braves into nine attack errors in the third set and hit .257 as the Shockers closed out the match with a 25-12 win. Katie Niggemeyer had four of her six kills in the third set and Sarah McGee recorded five of her match-high 11 blocks in the final frame.

Junior Amy Reichel (Schaumburg, Ill./Schaumburg) led the Braves with six kills, while fellow junior Kaitlyn Comiskey (Crystal Lake, Ill./South) notched a team-best 13 digs. Comiskey became the 20th player in school history with 800 career digs.

Wichita State hit .313 in the match and was led offensively by Emily Stockman who had a match-high 11 kills and hit at a .450 clip. Kelly Broussard helped pace the Shocker defensive efforts with 14 digs.

Bradley returns to action Thursday when the Braves host I-74 rival Illinois State at 7 p.m. at Illinois Central College. Thursday's match will be the Braves first Digs for the Cure event with proceeds from the night's match benefitting the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
