PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior guard Jeremy Crouch (Pekin, Ill./Pekin H.S.) has been named the Bradley Country Insurance & Financial Services Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday, after helping the Bradley men's basketball team to a 1-1 record last week.
Crouch averaged 16.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, helping the Braves split a pair of games. He scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds to help lead Bradley to its sixth consecutive win with a an 83-71 home victory against Missouri State. Crouch followed that with a 17-point effort in the Braves loss at I-74 rival Illinois State. He hit 7-of-11 shots from the field and also added two assists, two steals and a blocked shot against the Redbirds. A secondary education major, Crouch owns a 3.12 cumulative grade point average.
Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the Country Insurance & Financial Services Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.
Crouch and the Braves return to action Saturday when the play host to Creighton at 1:05 p.m. at Carver Arena.
