PEORIA, Ill. ? Saturday's 87-59 Missouri Valley Conference victory versus Creighton came with a price for the Bradley men's basketball team. Sophomore guard Andrew Warren (Indianapolis, Ind./Brebeuf Jesuit Prep) broke a bone in his left (non-shooting) hand late in the game and his status for the season's closing stretch is undetermined, pending further evaluation.
A leading candidate for The Valley's Most Improved Player award, Warren is one of two Bradley players to start all 27 games this season and he is the team's third-leading scorer at 13.1 points per game. The 6-foot-5 guard contributed 13 points and tied his career-high with seven rebounds in Saturday's win against the Bluejays.
The Braves (15-12, 8-7 MVC), winners of seven of their last nine games, will return to action Tuesday by visiting Valley regular-season champion #14 Drake in a 7:35 p.m. game to be televised on the MVC-TV Network (FSN Midwest, Comcast SportsNet Chicago, FSN Indiana and MetroSports in Kansas City).
