PEORIA, Ill. -- After Bradley and Creighton battled through one of the most-exciting college basketball games of the season Saturday night in Omaha, the two schools have partnered with JumpTV Sports to make the original subscription video stream of the game available for free viewing on each school's athletic department website.
After Bradley fought back from a 17-point deficit with less than 15 minutes remaining in regulation, Creighton survived a 111-110, double overtime epic in the regular-season finale Saturday night at the Qwest Center and the 221 combined points made it the fourth-highest scoring league game in Missouri Valley Conference history. Bradley had three players -- Daniel Ruffin (30 points), Jeremy Crouch (29) and Theron Wilson (24) -- score at least 20 points in a game for the first time since Dec. 29, 1988, while Creighton sophomore reserve guard Cavel Witter countered with a Qwest Center record 42 points.
The archived video stream is made up of Creighton's video scoreboard feed and is coupled with the audio from Creighton's radio broadcast team. Fans may view the stream by visiting the official website of either school, www.BradleyBraves.com or www.GoCreighton.com. Both schools typically only allow access to video streams of its games through subscription or single-game purchase plans, but since there was no television coverage of the game, both schools have been granted the opportunity to make Saturday's classic available at no charge for all fans to view.
As it worked out, Saturday's game ultimately only decided which color jerseys the teams would wear when they meet again in the 2:35 p.m. quarterfinal game in the State Farm MVC Tournament Friday at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis. With the win, Creighton (20-9, 10-8 MVC) secured the No. 4 seed and will wear the home whites versus the fifth-seeded Braves (17-14, 9-9 MVC).
Fans hoping to watch Friday's tournament game live may purchase single-session ($28) or all-session ($100) tournament tickets from the Scottrade Center or can tune into the MVC-TV Network telecast, which will be available on FSN Midwest, FSN Indiana, Comcast SportsNet Chicago and MetroSports in Kansas City.
