Jeremy Crouch (Pekin, Ill./Pekin H.S.) has been named the Bradley Country Insurance & Financial Services Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday, after helping the Bradley men's basketball team to a pair of victories last week in the College Basketball Invitational.
Crouch averaged 21.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 0.5 steals while helping the Braves to victories against Ohio (79-73) and at Virginia (96-85) and advance to the championship series of the inaugural College Basketball Invitational. He pad 15 points, three rebounds and five assists in Bradley's home victory against Ohio. Crouch followed that with a 27-point effort on 9-of-18 shooting in the Braves 96-85 road win at Virginia. He also added four rebounds and three assists against the Cavaliers. A secondary education major, Crouch owns a 3.12 cumulative grade point average.
Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the Country Insurance & Financial Services Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.
Crouch and the Braves return to action tonight when they play host to Tulsa in game two of the CBI championship series at 7 p.m. at Carver Arena.
