Illini Visit Tuesday

?   Bradley will wrap up its season-long, nine-game home stand Tuesday by hosting Illinois in a 6 p.m. contest at O'Brien Field.

?   Although Illinois enjoys a 36-17-2 lead in the all-time series, Bradley will be trying to extend a five-game winning streak against the Illini, its best winning streak in the history of the series.

?   Bradley is 2-0 all-time at O'Brien Field versus Illinois and the Braves have not lost to the Big Ten school since an 8-7 loss April 6, 1999 in Champaign.

Saint Louis Makeup Wednesday

?   Bradley will make up its previously snowed out game at Saint Louis Wednesday when the Braves visit the Billikens for a 2 p.m. contest at The Billiken Sports Center.

?   Bradley owns a 73-32-1 lead in the all-time series versus the Billikens, which dates back to April 8, 1939.

?   The Braves are 16-6 in their last 22 road games against Saint Louis, including a 5-2 victory in their last visit March 13, 2007.

Carbondale for the Weekend

?   Bradley will resume its Missouri Valley Conference schedule with a pivotal series this weekend at Southern Illinois.

?   After three weeks of league play, Bradley (4-5) is a half-game behind the Salukis (3-3), who were idle this past weekend, in the middle of The Valley standings.

?   After winning six of seven league series dating back to last year, Bradley now has dropped two in a row at home, losing 2-of-3 games to both Indiana State and Creighton at O'Brien Field.

?   The Braves begin the week tied for sixth in the league standings, but Bradley would lose a tie-breaker with Indiana State based on the series results March 28-30 at O'Brien Field.

Brennan Returns to Form

?   Junior right-hander Collin Brennan enjoyed his best outing of the season Sunday, helping the Braves salvage the final game of their weekend series against Creighton.

?   Brennan, who entered the game with an 0-1 record and 9.49 ERA in his first three starts of the year, limited Creighton to one unearned run on two singles in his 7.0 innings of work.

?   Brennan left the game to start the eighth with a 3-1 lead and the Braves eventually earned a 4-3 win in 12 innings.

Long Series Finale

?   Bradley's 4-3 win in 12 innings Sunday versus Creighton wound up being the longest college game in the six-year history of O'Brien Field.

?   Bradley twice played 11-inning games at O'Brien Field during the 2005 season, beating Western Illinois (4-3) on April 19, 2005 and Wichita State (9-8) on May 20, 2005.

Jensen Remains Perfect

?   Although he was roughed up in Friday's relief outing against Creighton, junior closer Kori Jensen bounced back with a strong outing Sunday to remain perfect on the season.

?   Jensen, who leads the Braves with four saves this year, improved to 3-0 by tossing 4.0 innings of 2-hit, scoreless relief Sunday.

?   With Jensen keeping the Bluejays off the board, Bradley eventually earned the 4-3 win when junior first baseman Grant Escue delivered the game-winning hit in the 12th inning.
