Bradley Baseball junior centerfielder Dan Brewer was the subject of a recent feature in Midwest Baseball Magazine.  The profile, written by former Brave Paul Tokarz, reveals that Brewer decided to focus on his baseball career at Bradley instead of playing both baseball and returning punts at Northwestern.

Already a two-time All-Missouri Valley Conference infielder for the Braves, Brewer has switched to the outfield this season and continues to excel.  Including Saturday's performance at Illinois State when he homered, drove in five, stole two bases and made two outstanding catches, Brewer has cracked Bradley's career top 10 in triples (T4, nine); hit-by-pitches (T4, 17); stolen bases (T7, 44); doubles (T8, 45); total bases (10, 315); and runs scored (T10, 137).  In addition, he has become the first player in school history to hit at least 20 home runs (21) and steal 40 bases (44).

Brewer and the Braves will wrap up a their three-game series at Interstate 74 rival Illinois State with a 1 p.m. game Sunday, then will host Valley rival UNI for a 3-game set next weekend at O'Brien Field to conclude the 2008 home schedule.
