GERMANTOWN, Md. -- Former Bradley Soccer stars Luke Kreamalmeyer and Bryan Namoff could face off tonight when Kreamalmeyer's Rochester Rhinos meet Namoff's D.C. United in the third round of the 2008 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup at 6:30 p.m. (CT) at Maryland SoccerPlex.

Both players were attacking center midfielders during their respective careers at Bradley and rank among the school's top five all-time scoring leaders.  A two-time NSCAA All-Midwest Region and All-Missouri Valley Conference pick, Kreamalmeyer is the fifth-leading scorer in Bradley Soccer history, racking up 72 points on 26 goals and 20 assists in his 86 games from 2001-04.  A four-time All-MVC selection and 2000 All-American, Namoff is the third-leading scorer in Bradley history, totalling 81 points on 32 goals and 17 assists in his 80 games from 1997-2000.

Namoff became Bradley's first-ever Major League Soccer SuperDraft selection when he was taken in the second round of the 2001 draft by D.C. United and he has been a regular in United's back line throughout his eight-year MLS career.  Kreamalmeyer was the MVP of the 2005 MLS Player Combine and was selected in the fourth round of the 2005 MLS SuperDraft by Real Salt Lake.  After his rookie season with Real, Kreamalmeyer played the 2006 and 2007 seasons with the Portland Timbers in the United Soccer League's First Division and he is now in his first season with the First Division's Rochester Rhinos.

Kreamalmeyer has two assists in his first 12 league games with the Rhinos and he scored an insurance goal in Rochester's 3-0 second-round U.S. Open Cup win June 24 versus the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.  Namoff played the entire 90 minutes in Sunday's 4-1 MLS victory versus the Los Angeles Galaxy and he is third on the United side with 1,258 minutes played to date this season.
