ST. LOUIS ? Bradley will visit BYU Nov. 13 to tip off the inaugural Mountain West Missouri Valley Challenge, according to an announcement from the Missouri Valley Conference office this afternoon. The two leagues have announced a four-year agreement to match teams from both teams, beginning with the 2009-10 campaign.
BYU owns a 2-1 lead in the all-time series against Bradley, including a 100-87 victory in the only previous meeting in Provo Dec. 30, 1974. Bradley won the initial meeting, 77-50, Jan. 2, 1954 and lost the most recent matchup, 86-79, Dec. 17, 1977 ? both at Robertson Memorial Fieldhouse. The Cougars owned the nation's longest homecourt winning streak until #3 Wake Forest snapped the run at 53 games with a 94-87 victory Jan. 3 at the Marriott Center.
Both teams earned victories Tuesday night. Bradley (11-6, 5-1 MVC) downed host Indiana State, 63-52, while BYU (14-2, 2-0 MWC) knocked off TCU, 73-61, at the Marriott Center.
