The WTVP slate kicks off with the Jan. 15 home game against Northern Iowa at Illinois Central College and also will feature the Jan. 31 home tilt against Interstate 74 rival Illinois State.  WTVP also will carry the Feb. 19 home contest against Creighton and wrap up the broadcast schedule with the road game Feb. 25 at Illinois State.  Since the start of the 1996-97 season, WTVP has broadcast a total of 57 Bradley Women's Basketball games in the Peoria area.

"I want to thank Chet Tomczyk and WTVP for their continued support of Bradley Women's Basketball," 10th-year Braves head coach Paula Buscher said.  "They have been instrumental in helping promote Bradley Women's Basketball and the sport of women's basketball in general throughout Central Illinois."

Bradley returns 10 of 14 letterwinners, including three starters, from last year's team which finished with a school-record 21 victories (21-10 overall).  The 2008-09 Braves finished fourth in the Missouri Valley Conference, marking the program's best conference finish since tying for third in the Gateway Conference in 1991-92.  The 2009-10 roster features six of the top eight scorers and three of the top four rebounders from last year's team, which made the program's first MVC Tournament semifinal appearance since 1996-97. 

The Braves will play the first of two exhibition games Sunday, Nov. 1 at 3:35 p.m. against Lewis University at Lorene Ramsey Gym in East Peoria.  The Braves' second exhibition game against Quincy is slated for Sunday, Nov. 8 at 5:05 p.m. at Lorene Ramsey Gym.  Bradley opens the 2009-10 regular season, Friday Nov. 13 with a 7:05 p.m. game at Northern Illinois in DeKalb, Ill.
