Neufeld Second, Braves Fifth At Payne Stewart Memorial

Women?s Golf Finishes 13th at Pat Bradley Invite

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Junior Breanne Neufeld (Coaldale, Alberta/Coaldale) fired a final-round 75 to tie for 23rd and the Bradley Women's Golf team finished 13th at the 32nd annual Pat Bradley Invitational at the par-72 Pelican Preserve and Country Club.

Neufeld entered the day tied for 23rd and held onto her spot in the final standings in a field of 82 golfers, shooting a three-over par 75 to tie for 23rd at 224. 

Sophomore Kelly Amundrud (Calgary, Alberta/Strathcona Tweedsmuir) carded a final-round 76 and finished 48th in the standings at 231, while fellow sophomore Keegan Ryan (Groveland, Ill./Morton) was four shots behind Amundrud in a tie for 62nd at 235 after shooting a third-round 79.

Junior Caitlin Deeken (California, Mo./California) rounded out the team scoring for the Braves with a final-round 84 to finish tied for 68th at 238.

Furman claimed the team title with a 54-hole score of 870 and held a seven-shot lead on second-place South Florida (877).  Central Florida took third at 879 and tournament-host Florida International followed in fourth at 883.  Missouri State and North Texas tied for fifth in the team standings at 890 and Stetson placed seventh in the field at 892. 

Drake was five shots back of Stetson in eighth (897) and held a four-shot edge on Daytona State (9th - 901).  Florida Gulf Coast rounded out the top 10 at 915, with Cincinnati five shots behind in 11th (920).  Florida Atlantic shot 923 to finish 11th and Bradley was 13th at 928 after a final round 314.  Murray State placed 14th (933) and Texas A&M Corpus Christi rounded out the field in 15th at 945.

The Pat Bradley Invitational was the final tournament on the Fall schedule for the Braves.  Bradley is slated to open its Spring schedule Feb. 21-22 at the Jacksonville Classic in Jacksonville, Fla.
