MILLINGTON, Tenn. ? Morning and early afternoon rain has forced several changes to the games schedule at the Service Academy Spring Classic at USA Stadium, including a trio of changes to Bradley's schedule. Today's 1 p.m. game versus Kansas has been cancelled and the 4 p.m. contest against Memphis has been postponed until 5 o'clock. In addition, Sunday's game against Kansas has been replaced with a 10 a.m. game against Navy.
Bradley opened play in the Service Academy Spring Classic Friday with a 9-8 victory in 10 innings, giving head coach Elvis Dominguez a win in his first game with the Braves. Senior first baseman Jim Clayton drove home Adam Kimble with the game-winning run. Senior first baseman/left fielder Grant Escue hit a grand slam as part of a 5-RBI day and junior right-hander Rob Scahill was perfect in five of his six innings of work. Senior righty Bryan Porter (1-0) earned the win by throwing the final two innings.
