MILLINGTON, Tenn. -- Weather continued to wreak havoc on the season-opening Service Academy Classic at USA Stadium as Saturday's rain, coupled with an overnight freeze, forced the cancellation of this morning's Bradley-Navy game.  Bradley returns home with a 2-0 record and will be declared at least co-champions, thanks to a 9-8 win in 10 innings Friday against Pittsburgh and a 5-1 victory Saturday against Memphis.

The Braves originally were slated to play four games during the Service Academy Classic, but only Friday's opener against the Panthers went off as scheduled.  Bradley's Saturday afternoon game against Kansas was cancelled and its evening game against Memphis was postponed as the tournament schedule was shuffled due to Saturday's rain.  The rain also forced the replacement of Sunday's originally-scheduled game against Kansas with a 10 a.m. contest against Navy, but a hard overnight freeze wiped that game out, too.

Bradley will return to Tennessee next weekend for a three-game series at Lipscomb.  The series will start with a noon doubleheader Saturday and will conclude with a single game at 1 p.m. Sunday at Lipscomb's Dugan Field at Marsh Stadium in Nashville.  Bradley is 1-2 all-time against Lipscomb, most recenlty splitting a double-header March 10, 2002 in Nashville.
