NORMAL, Ill. – The Bradley women's tennis team went 0-3 in
the final day of competition at the Illinois State Invitational Sunday. In the
Flight D singles championship, freshman Kennedy Scott (Calgary,
Alberta/National Sports School) dropped a closely contested match to Illinois
State's Stefanie Youngberg 7-5, 6-4.
Junior
Nicole Miller (Glendale Heights,
Ill./Glenbard West H.S.) fell in the Flight A singles back draw finals to Kayla
Tuscany from Morehead State 6-4, 6-1. Bradley's remaining doubles team of
seniors Jessica Buterbaugh (Paradise Valley, Ariz./Chaparral H.S.) and Kelly Donohue (Louisville, Ky./Sacred
Heart Academy) also dropped their Flight A doubles back draw finals match 8-2
to Butler's Breitenback/Thompson.
The Braves will return to
the courts Friday, Sept. 18, at the Ball State Invitational in Muncie, Ind.
