PEORIA, Ill. -- Junior forward Bryan Gaul (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) has been named the Bradley Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after contributing to each of the Braves' four goals last week.

Gaul, who shares The Valley's scoring lead with 21 points on nine goals and three assists, assisted Aodhan Quinn's goal to give the Braves a 1-0 lead in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to Drake.  He followed that up with a career-best five points in Saturday's 3-1 win against Central Arkansas by scoring each of Bradley's first two goals and assisting Keegan Balle's insurance goal.  Gaul's third game-winner of the season gives him seven career game-winning tallies, moving him into sixth place on the school's all-time list for game-winning goals.  An advertising major, Gaul owns a 3.19 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Gaul and the Braves return to action this afternoon, playing a 2:30 p.m. road match against Missouri Valley Conference foe Eastern Illinois in Charleston, Ill.
