Box Score PEORIA, Ill. -- Sophomore guard Katie Yohn (Elgin, Ill./St. Edward) scored a career-high 26 on 11-of-15 shooting and Bradley turned in the third best shooting performance in program history as the Braves posted a convincing 81-64 victory against Saint Louis Saturday afternoon at Renaissance Coliseum.

Bradley (5-3 overall) never trailed in the contest and got off to a hot start, connecting on 9-of-12 shots to open the game en route to a 27-15 lead.  Yohn scored nine of her career-best 26 points in the first 7:06 of the game to help the Braves build an early double-digit advantage.

BU pushed the advantage to as many as 16 points in the first half (38-22) on a Latasha Hollingshed (Bellwood, Ill./St. Joseph/Illinois Central) jumper with four minutes left in the half and the Braves led 45-35 at the break.

Yohn opened the second half with a three-pointer and capped an 11-0 run with a layup as Bradley extended the lead to 21 points (56-35) less than three minutes into the second half.  Saint Louis (4-5 overall) got as close as 15 points before Yohn sparked a 9-1 spurt with a three-pointer and later had a layup to help Bradley take its biggest lead on the contest at 73-49 with seven and a half minutes to play.  The Braves cruised to the 81-64 win to improve to 4-1 in the last five games.

The Billikens entered the game surrendering just 56.0 points per game and holding opponents to 36 percent shooting, but Bradley shot 61.7 percent from the field and finished with a season-high 81 points.  The 61.7 percent shooting effort ranks as the third-best field goal percentage in school history and was the team's best shooting night since connecting on 37-of-57 shots (64.9 percent) at Western Illinois on Feb. 22, 1986.  The Braves also made 8-of-15 three-point attempts (53.3 percent).

Yohn was 4-of-7 from beyond the three-point arc and finished with 26 points, four assists two blocks and two steals.  Senior Raisa Taylor (Decatur, Ill./Eisenhower) added 10 points and five assists, while Hollingshed finished one point short of a double-double after collecting nine points and a game-high 11 rebounds.  Taylor pushed her career scoring total to 844 points and moved into 19th on Bradley's career scoring list, passing Roxanne Grabow (1979-83).

Jacy Bradley led Saint Louis in scoring with 14 points and also had four assists and two steals to pace the Billikens.  Three other SLU players finished with eight points or more.  Saint Louis entered the game outrebounding opponents by 10 boards per contest, but Bradley matched the Billikens on the glass (37-37) despite 22 offensive SLU rebounds.

Bradley returns to action Tuesday, playing a 7:05 p.m. game at Western Illinois.  The game will be broadcast in the Peoria area on 1290 AM WIRL.
