PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior guard Dodie Dunson (Bloomington, Ill./Bloomington/Vincennes University) has been named the Bradley Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after averaging 14.0 points and 3.0 rebounds in a pair of games last week.

Dunson was 5-for-8 from the field, including 2-for-2 from beyond the arc, and finished with 14 points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal in Bradley's game at Western Carolina.  He also had 14 points and three boards in Saturday's home contest against Utah.  A social work major, Dunson owns a 3.69 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Dunson and the Braves return to action tonight when they face defending national champion and #1-ranked Duke at 8:05 p.m. at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, N.C.  The game will be televised on ESPN2.
