PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley softball team closes out a four-game road swing and completes the regular-season series against Northern Iowa with a game Tuesday afternoon at UNI. BU has won three of its last four and four of the last six overall heading into today's 4 p.m. contest in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
The Braves (15-24 overall, 5-11 MVC) enter the game in ninth place in the regular-season Missouri Valley Conference standings, a half-game behind Wichita State for eighth place. Bradley is looking to avenge a pair of home losses to the Panthers earlier this season. UNI (20-20 overall, 7-8 MVC) won the opening game of a doubleheader 10-2 in five innings on April 8 at Laura Bradley Park and also took the nightcap 9-2.
Northern Iowa has lost six of seven since the two teams last met and the Panthers are currently sixth in the standings at 7-8. Live stats for today's game between the Braves and Panthers will be available at http://www.unipanthers.com/gametracker/launch/?event=847584&school=niwa&sport=wsoftbl&
Following Tuesday's game at Northern Iowa, Bradley concludes the regular-season with six of the final nine games at home. The Braves kick off that stretch Saturday against preseason Valley favorite Creighton with a noon doubleheader at Laura Bradley Park. The series against the Bluejays concludes Sunday with a noon contest.
