PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley volleyball head coach Sean Burdette and the Braves hosted their annual media day Monday as the team continued to prepare for Friday's season opener against Western Illinois. BU will face the Leathernecks Friday at 7 p.m. in the first Bradley athletic event in the new on-campus arena.
Assistant Director of Athletics Communications Dave Snell spoke with Burdette along with seniors Melissa Collins (Manchester, Mo./Parkway South) and Caitlin Staib (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) about the upcoming season in the linked video story. Staib and Collins were both freshmen when the Braves played at Robertson Memorial Field House in 2007. The duo talked with Snell about having four different home courts in four years and the team's anticipation for Friday's historic first contest in the new facility.
Bradley hosts the Hotels at Grand Prairie Invitational Friday and Saturday. After Friday's season-opener against Western Illinois, the Braves will face USC-Upstate Saturday at noon and wrap up tournament play with a 7 p.m. match Saturday evening against Southeast Missouri State.
