PEORIA, Ill. -The longest active relationship between a radio station and a university to broadcast its men's basketball games has been extended three more years with today's announcement that JMP Radio Group, LLC will continue to carry the full Bradley men's basketball schedule on 1470 WMBD through the 2012-13 season.

The newest agreement also calls for expanded gameday coverage of the Bradley women's basketball program and JMP will broadcast 19 women's games during the 2010-11 campaign, primarily on 1290 WIRL.  View the 2010-11 Bradley Women's Basketball Schedule online for the complete list of JMP radio broadcasts.

"We are excited to extend this historical relationship with WMBD for three more years," said Bradley Director of Athletics Dr. Michael Cross.  "We look forward to a strong partnership as we showcase both our men's and women's basketball programs with high-quality radio broadcasts."

"Bradley Basketball is a way of life for our radio station group and for thousands of our listeners," said Mike Wild, JMP Senior Vice President and General Manager.  "We're enthusiastic about the future of both programs and our relationship with Bradley University."

Bradley men's basketball games have been broadcast on 1470 WMBD since legendary announcer Jack Brickhouse called his first game between the Braves and Yale Dec. 30, 1938 at the Peoria Armory.  As WMBD prepares for its 71st season of Bradley Basketball coverage, JMP has announced longtime Voice of the Braves Dave Snell will be partnered with a single analyst for every game, former Bradley guard Danny Adams. Adams fills the position vacated by the retirement of Chuck Buescher and Joe Stowell's move from the men's package to the expanded women's package.

A 1976 Bradley graduate, Snell began describing the action of Bradley Basketball games on WMBD in 1979 and has participated in 952 consecutive regular-season and postseason broadcasts in his first 31 years as the Voice of the Braves.  A native of nearby Metamora, Ill., Adams joined the Braves as a recruited walk-on in 2002 and eventually played his way into a scholarship while helping the Braves win 22 games in each of his final two seasons, highlighted by the 2006 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 and 2007 NIT second round.

Stowell, Snell's longtime broadcast partner and a member of the Bradley Athletics Hall of Fame as a former player and head coach of both the men's and women's basketball teams, will join Ed Hammond on JMP's expanded Bradley women's basketball broadcast package.  Stowell served as the primary men's basketball analyst from 1985-2008, but worked only the team's home games during each of the last two seasons.

"We are extremely pleased that Coach (Joe) Stowell will remain a part of our Bradley broadcast team by joining Eddie (Hammond) full time on our women's basketball package," said Wild.  "Coach is a Bradley legend and will bring a great deal of credibility to our broadcasts as we increase our commitment to Bradley women's basketball."

Bradley women's basketball games have been broadcast on 1470 WMBD since 1998 with a package that has fluctuated between four and seven games annually.  Of the 19 Bradley women's basketball games to be aired by JMP in 2010-11, however, 18 will appear on 1290 WIRL, while the Nov. 19 home game versus Illinois will air on 1470 WMBD.
