Box Score FRESNO, Calif. - Junior Alison Kresl (Kankakee, Ill./Bishop McNamara) drove in a career-best three runs, but 10th-ranked California slugged four home runs and proved to be too much for the Braves as the Golden Bears posted a 12-3 victory Saturday afternoon at the Bayer CropScience Classic.

California (13-2 overall) built a 10-0 lead before Kresl drove in three runs with a two-out, bases loaded double in the bottom of the fifth inning to cut the Cal lead to 10-3.

Jamia Reid led off the game with a triple for the Golden Bears and finished a double short of the cycle, going 3-for-5 with three runs scored and five RBI in the game.  California had an early 2-0 lead after Jace Williams hit a one-out, two-run homer to right field later in the top of the first.

Jordan Wallace opened the top of the fourth with a solo homer and Victoria Jones followed with a solo homer of her own to start a four-run inning for Cal.  Jamia Reid drove in sister Elia Reid with a single to center and Williams knocked in her second run of the game with a single up the middle to push the Golden Bears advantage to 6-0.

A pair of singles and a hit batter loaded the bases in the top of the fifth inning for Jamia Reid who legged out an inside the park grand slam to push California's lead to 10-0.

Bradley (6-17 overall) broke up the shutout in the bottom of the fifth inning, pushing three runs across.  Freshman Alex Chandler (Needles, Calif./Calif.) led off the frame with a single and fellow freshman Mariah Cole (Springfield, Ill./Chatham Glenwood) had a one-out single to put runners at first and second.  Senior Brittany Fairbairn (Lombard, Ill./Glenbard East/Kankakee C.C.) loaded the bases with a single and Kresl followed with a three-run double to center field to trim the Golden Bears lead to 10-3.

California scored two more runs in the top of the seventh inning on a two-run double by Jolene Henderson to put the finishing touches on a 12-3 win.

Sophomore pitcher Mackenzie Camp (Mapleton, Ill./Limestone) took the loss in the circle for Bradley, giving up four runs on six hits in three innings of work to fall to 2-4 on the year.

Henderson went 1-for-3 at the plate with two RBI in addition to striking out seven Bradley hitters in the complete game win.  She walked one and surrendered five hits and three earned runs as she improved to 12-2.

Bradley closes out play at the Bayer CropScience Classic Sunday with an 11 a.m. (CDT) game against Idaho State.
