ST. LOUIS - Bradley University men's basketball player Dodie Dunson (Bloomington, Ill./Bloomington H.S.) is one of five players voted to the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete First Team, according to a vote of the league's 10 men's basketball sports information directors released today.
Bradley sophomore guard Charonn Woods (St. Louis, Mo./MAC H.S.) earned honorable mention MVC Scholar-Athlete honors.
One of 10 national finalists for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award, Dunson boasts a 3.67 cumulative grade point average as a social work major. He has earned a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll in each of his first five semesters at Bradley, including two terms with a perfect 4.0 mark. On the court, Dunson averaged 10.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game during the 2010-11 season.
A third-year walk-on for the Braves, Woods boasts a 4.0 cumulative grade point average as a health science major who plans to pursue a career in medicine. He appeared in 12 games during the 2010-11 season.
Both players were members of the NABC Honors Court in 2010.
