PEORIA, Ill. -- Junior Lyndsey Cleghorn (Oswego, Ill./Oswego) has been named the Bradley Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after winning the high jump at last week's SIU Edwardsville Twilight.

Cleghorn helped highlight Saturday's competition for the Bradley track and field team with a career-best leap of 1.62 meters (5' 3.75") to win the high jump.  Her previous outdoor season best was 1.58 meters set at the Eastern Illinois Big Blue and Cleghorn's previous best jump of the year was 1.60 meters during the indoor season in mid-February.  An accounting major, Cleghorn owns a 3.64 cumulative grade point average. 
 
Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Cleghorn and the Bradley track and field team return to action Friday at the Simpson College Kip Janvrin Open in Indianola, Iowa.
