PEORIA, Ill. -- With one outdoor meet in the books, the Bradley track and field team returns to action Friday and Saturday at the 22nd annual Lee Calhoun Memorial in Macomb, Ill.

The Braves will compete in eight events in the two-day meet which kicks off Friday at 3 p.m. with the women's field events.  Bradley's first event on Saturday is slated for 11:45 a.m. with three individuals competing in the 1,500 meters and the meet concludes at 4 p.m. with the 4x400-meter relay.

Head coach Marc Burns anticipates BU's 4x800 meter relay team highlighting the event as the group of Mary Goldkamp (Florissant, Mo./McCluer North), Michelle Hartman (Savanna, Ill./Prince of Peace), Sarah Higgins (Bourbonnais, Ill./Bradley-Bourbonnais) and Emily Wolbers (Moline, Ill./Moline) are expected to challenge the school record which was set in 1990.

Goldkamp won the 800 meters at last week's EIU Big Blue Classic in Charleston, Ill., finishing three-quarters of a second from breaking Katie Nowak's school record in the event.  The 4x800 is scheduled to start at 4:45 p.m. Friday. 

Junior Lyndsey Cleghorn (Oswego, Ill./Oswego) is coming off her best high jump performance since the 2009 season and will be one of two Braves in the high jump Friday afternoon.

Bradley will open Saturday's action with the 1,500 meters and the Braves have five individuals registered for the 800 meters.   Joining Goldkamp in the 3,000 meter field will be senior Lauren Fog (Harvard, Ill./Harvard), who was BU's top finisher in the 1,500 meters in Charleston, Ill., last week along with freshman Cassie Lohmeier (East Peoria, Ill./East Peoria). 

The Braves will also compete in the 100 & 200 meter dashes during Saturday's action.
