The Bradley Baseball team is preparing for its final road games of the season, a 3-game weekend set at Missouri Valley Conference rival Missouri State.

The series against the Bears also will serve as a family reunion for the Eigsti Family: Bradley utility infielder Jerrod Eigsti will be playing in the same stadium as older brother Ryan Eigsti, the former Bradley catcher who is now playing for the Kansas City Royals Double-A affiliate Northwest Arkansas Naturals. The Naturals start a 4-game series Thursday night at Hammons Field, which serves as the home stadium for both the Cardinals and Missouri State.

The Braves (22-23, 4-11 MVC) will be trying to build upon the momentum they generated from their 2-games-to-1 series win against Southern Illinois last weekend at O'Brien Field. Junior lefthander Joe Bircher was named The Valley Pitcher of the Week after tossing a 2-hit shutout Friday against the Salukis, while junior lefthander Tory Doerr also allowed only two hits through six scoreless innings to start Saturday's game and sophomore righty John Nasshan followed with the first eighth innings in Sunday's 4-0 win to clinch the series.
