PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley women's track and field team was named a United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team, announced by the USTFCCCA.  The Braves earned the distinction for the 10th consecutive year and were tied for 14th among NCAA Division I track programs with a 3.45 cumulative grade point average.

Bradley owned the best grade point average among Missouri Valley Conference women's track and field programs and was one of six Valley teams honored.  A total of 14 members of the track and field team earned a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll during the spring semester, including five individuals who posted perfect 4.0 semester GPA's.

"We are very proud of our women's team and their work in the classroom," said Bradley cross country/track & field head coach Marc Burns.  "They represent our program, the athletic department and the university with class on and off the field of competition.  There is an expectation in the locker room of high achievement as a student, athlete and as people."

The USTFCCCA honors individuals and teams for their academic and athletic accomplishments during the indoor and outdoor track seasons.  A total of 164 Division I teams had cumulative grade point averages of 3.0 or better.
