PEORIA, Ill. -- Former Bradley men's golfer Todd Camplin ('96) has spent the last two days competing in the 93rd PGA Championship at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, Ga.

Camplin, who competed in the PGA Championship for the first time in his career, qualified for the PGA Championship after placing 20th in the PGA Professional National Champion in Hershey, Pa., back in June.  During Friday's second round of play, he was one-over par through seven holes after shooting back-to-back birdies on the fourth and fifth holes.

Currently working as the PGA head professional at the Pinehurst Resort & Country Club #7 course in Pinehurst, N.C., Camplin claimed the title at the Carolinas PGA Professional Championship last September to earn his spot in the 2011 PGA Professional National Championship field.

A Peoria, Ill., native and graduate of Richwoods High School, Camplin led Bradley in stroke average each of his two seasons on The Hilltop after transferring from Illinois Central College.  He posted seven top 10 finishes during his Bradley career and was co-medalist at the Saint Louis Fall Invitational during his senior year.
