INDIANAPOLIS - The Bradley women's tennis team won five of the six singles points to claim a 5-2 win at IUPUI (3-17) Friday evening at the Five Seasons Sports Club.

The Braves (3-11) rallied after dropping all three doubles matches by earning four of their singles victories in straight sets, handing interim head coach Jesse Plote his first victory with the Bradley women.  Plote is in his fourth season as the Bradley men's tennis coach and has added the women's team to his coaching duties while the University seeks a full-time replacement for former head coach Scott Petersen, who resigned last week.

Sophomore Sarah Rodefeld and freshman Corey Mattson both dominated at the top and bottom of the lineup, respectively, each allowing their opponent to win just three games.  Rodefeld knocked off Danielle Haefele at No. 1 singles (6-0, 6-3), while Mattson took down Jesika Bays at No. 6 singles (6-1, 6-2).

Bradley also received straight-sets wins from Elizabeth Przystawski at No. 2 singles and Carly Miles at No. 5 singles, while Adele Henke rallied for a 5-7, 6-4, 1-0 (10) victory at No. 3 singles.

The Braves will remain on the road for their next three matches, all Missouri Valley Conference dual competitions, beginning March 31 at Interstate 74 rival Illinois State.  The final non-conference dual at Western Illinois has been re-scheduled for April 18 in Macomb.
