PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley men's golf team kicks off the busiest week of the season Monday and Tuesday at the 40th annual Beu Mussatto Invitational in Macomb, Ill., before hosting the Hotels at Grand Prairie Invitational at WeaverRidge Golf Club to end the week.

The Braves will play a pair of 54-hole tournaments in a span of six days, starting with the Beu Mussatto Invite.  Bradley has been a frequent participant in the Beu Mussatto Invitational over the years, playing in the event nine of the last 11 seasons.  In fact, BU has played in a spring tournament in Macomb, Ill., in 31 of the last 39 seasons overall.

Play is scheduled to begin Monday at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start and include 36 holes at the par-72 Harry Mussatto Golf Course.  Tuesday's final round will start with tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Joining Bradley in the field are tournament-host Western Illinois, Chicago State, North Dakota, North Dakota State, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Nebraska-Omaha and Valparaiso.  The field also includes Indian Hills Community College, Knox College, Monmouth, St. Ambrose and St. Francis.

Sophomore Travis Kreiter (Brimfield, Ill./Brimfield) was BU's top finisher at last year's Beu Mussatto Invite, tying for ninth after rounds of 72 and 76 at the shortened tournament.  Fellow sophomore Daniel Young (Metamora, Ill./Metamora) finished three shots behind Kreiter (151) in a tie for 16th, shooting scores of 76 and 75 last year at the par-72 Harry Mussatto Golf Course.

Freshman Seth Trolia (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour) is coming off a season-best 69 to wrap up Bradley's spring break trip to Florida.  His three-under par was the lowest round by a Brave in over two years and helped Trolia tie for 10th at the Bulldog Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla.

Fellow freshman Danny Masrin (Palatine, Ill./Jakarta International School) also had a strong spring break and is averaging 74.4 strokes over his last five rounds to lower his season average to 77.2 per round.
