DURHAM, N.C. -- After dropping the first set 33-31 to tournament-host North Carolina Central, Bradley rebounded to take the next three sets and top the Eagles 31-33, 25-18, 25-14, 25-23 Saturday morning at the North Carolina Central Invitational.

Bradley (2-0 overall) trailed by as many as five point midway through the opening set and fought off the first of five N.C. Central set points to pull even at 24-24, when junior Alise Tupuritis (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) found the floor with one of her match-high 18 kills.

The Braves held set point three times, before a pair of BU errors helped North Carolina Central escape with a 33-31 victory in the first set.  Tupuritis, who matched a career-high with 18 kills, finished with nine kills in the opening frame.

Tupuritis added five more kills in the second set on just six attacks and junior Amy Angelos (Waukegan, Ill./Waukegan) added four kills of her own on five swings as the duo helped the Braves pull even in the match with a convincing 25-18 victory.  Bradley hit .714 in the third frame, collecting 16 kills with just one hitting error.

The Braves carried that momentum into the third set, never trailing in the frame as they cruised to a 25-14 win.  After Bradley opened the set with a 10-3 run, sophomore Allie Falter (Lincoln, Neb./Pius X) helped highlight a 7-2 BU spurt to close the frame with a pair of kills.  Falter finished the contest with a career-best 11 kills, while hitting .556 in the match.

The fourth set featured 13 ties and four lead changes, before Bradley gained control late.  Tupuritis snapped a 20-20 tie with a kill and Falter followed with one of her own to give the Braves a two-point advantage (22-20).  BU held a 24-23 lead, when sophomore Courtney Keefe (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) sealed the victory with her 11th kill of the match.

Four Bradley players reached double figures in kills, paced by Tupuritis' career-high 18.  Falter and Keefe each added 11 kills, while Angelos tallied 10 kills on 18 swings without an error for a .556 attack percentage.  Sophomore Madison Kamp (Orland Park, Ill./Chicago Christian) had a career-high eight kills to go along with 46 assists and five digs in the victory.

Bradley closes out action at the North Carolina Central Invitational Saturday with a 1:30 p.m. (CDT) match against Winthrop.
