PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley couldn't keep pace with a hot-hitting Arkansas State team Saturday night at Renaissance Coliseum, wrapping up play at the 2012 CEFCU Classic with a 19-25, 14-25, 25-20, 15-25 loss to the Red Wolves.  Arkansas State used tough play at the net, recording 11 blocks, and held the Braves to a .112 attack percentage.

Junior Alise Tupuritis (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) had a team-best 12 kills to lead BU, but Arkansas State hit a combined .481 in the second and fourth sets to pull out the road win.

Junior Amy Angelos (Waukegan, Ill./Waukegan) was named to the CEFCU All-Tournament team and was joined by Kelsy Sullivan (Arkansas State), MacKenzie Roddy (Northern Illinois), Delainey Aigner-Swesey (Long Beach State), Megan Lehman (Northern Iowa) and tournament MVP Candice Burke (Northern Iowa).

Bradley (6-6 overall) never found a rhythm offensively in the opening set, hitting .026 in the frame.  Arkansas State (9-6 overall) notched five of its 11 blocks in the first set and held a 22-15 edge in digs after the first set following a 25-19 win.

The Red Wolves hit a blistering .640 in the second set and cruised to a 25-14 victory to take a two-sets-to-none lead.  Sullivan led the Arkansas State attack with six kills on just seven swings in the frame.

Bradley pulled out a tightly contested 25-20 third-set win to avoid the sweep.  The set featured 11 ties and six lead changes before freshman Lea Sack (Lincoln, Neb./Pius X) put BU in front 22-20 with back-to-back aces.  Angelos followed an Arkansas State attack error with a kill and another Red Wolves miscue closed out the Bradley victory.

Arkansas State took control of the fourth set early on and closed out the match with a 25-15 win.  The Red Wolves hit .345 in the set, in addition to notching three more blocks.

Tupuritis led the Bradley attack with 12 kills, while junior Lauren Zerante (Elmhurst, Ill./York) added a team-best 12 digs.  Sophomore Madison Kamp (Orland Park, Ill./Chicago Christian) collected 34 assists and 10 digs for her team-leading sixth double-double of the year.

Sullivan paced Arkansas State with 16 kills, while Jasmine Terry and Kelsie Hodges each added 14 kills in the win.  Setter Allison Kearney tallied five kills, 46 assists, two aces and 12 digs for the defending Sun Belt West Division regular-season champions.

Earlier in the afternoon, Northern Iowa defeated Long Beach State in four sets to claim the 2012 CEFCU Tournament title.

Bradley returns to action Friday, playing a 6 p.m. (CDT) match at Indiana State in Terre Haute, Ind.
