TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Junior Amy Angelos (Waukegan, Ill./Waukegan) notched a season-best 16 kills to lead Bradley, but the Braves three-match road win streak came to an end with a 20-25, 25-22, 20-25, 22-25 loss at Indiana State Friday in the first conference road match of the year.

Angelos hit.583 in the match and tallied a season-best 16 kills in the loss, which dropped Bradley to 6-7 overall and 0-2 in Valley play.  Indiana State (3-10 overall, 1-2 MVC) had four players reach double figures in kills and hit .300 in the win as the Sycamores earned their first home win of the year.

Indiana State found the floor with 17 kills and hit .308 in the frame en route to a 25-20 opening set victory.  With the Sycamores holding a 20-18 lead, Shea Doran recorded three of her five first-set kills during a 5-2 Indiana State to close the set.

Bradley pulled even in the match with a hard-fought 25-22 win in the second set, behind five Angelos kills.  Despite hitting just .129 in the second set, Bradley used a late run to pull out the victory.  Indiana State led 21-19, when sophomore Allie Falter (Lincoln, Neb./Pius X) pulled BU even with back-to-back kills.  Sophomore Madison Kamp (Orland Park, Ill./Chicago Christian) followed up consecutive Indiana State attack errors with an ace and another Sycamore attack error later capped a 6-1 BU spurt to give the Braves the win.

Doran had a pair of kills to highlight a 6-1 Indiana State spurt to open the third set and the Sycamores never trailed in a 25-20 win.  Bradley pulled within a point three times midway through the frame, but the Sycamores hit .317 in the victory to go back in front in the match.

The fourth set was tight throughout and the Braves pulled even at 21-21 on an Angelos kill late in the contest.  Indiana State scored three consecutive points, with Kyla Thomas capping the spurt with back-to-back kills.  Thomas, who had six kills in the fourth frame, followed an Angelos kill with one of her own to seal the 25-22 victory for the Sycamores. 

Joining Angelos in double figures in kills for Bradley was junior Alise Tupuritis (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) with 12 kills.  Fellow junior Lauren Zerante (Elmhurst, Ill./York) surpassed the 500 career dig mark in the setback, adding a match-high 18 digs.

Indiana State had three players notch double-doubles led by Doran's 16 kills and 12 digs. 

Bradley returns to action Saturday, playing a 7 p.m. match against I-74 rival Illinois State at Redbird Arena.
