PEORIA, Ill. -- After missing last year's event in Springfield, Mo., the Bradley women's golf team will return for the 14th annual Payne Stewart Memorial Monday and Tuesday at the par-72 Rivercut Golf Club.

The Braves will be playing in the Payne Stewart Memorial for the ninth time in the 14-year history of the event and have had a great deal of success in the tournament hosted by Missouri Valley Conference rival Missouri State.  Bradley claimed the team titles in 2001 and 2003 in addition to former BU standout Kelly Amundrud winning medalist honors at the 2011 event.  Overall, the Braves have finished in the top five in the final team standings in seven of the eight previous trips to the Payne Stewart Memorial.

MVC rivals Drake, Southern Illinois, Northern Iowa and Wichita State join Bradley and Missouri State in the 17-team field which also includes Creighton, Drury, North Dakota State, Oklahoma City, Oral Roberts, Redlands Community College, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Arkansas-Little Rock, UMKC and Valparaiso.

Bradley has two of the top three individuals in the Valley in stroke average with sophomore Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb./Doniphan-Trumbull) leading the league with a 73.5 average this fall.  Lemek was named the MVC Golfer of the Week on Oct. 2 after winning medalist honors at the UMKC Fall Invitational and helping the Braves to a second-place team finish.

Sophomore Allison Walsh (Mt. Prospect, Ill./Mt. Prospect) is also coming off a strong performance at UMKC where she tied with Hedemann for fifth in the individual standings.  Her 229 at UMKC was the lowest 54-hole total of her collegiate career and she is fourth on the squad with a 79.00 stroke average.

Sophomore Jenna Roadley (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Sturgeon Heights) has shot four of her last five rounds in the 70's and is carding an average round of 80.0.  Freshman Paige Jordan (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles East) and junior Katarina Mangieri (Galesburg, Ill./Galesburg) round out the team lineup for the Braves.

Following the Payne Stewart Memorial, Bradley is slated to close out the fall schedule Oct. 20-22 at the Pat Bradley Invitational in Sarasota, Fla.
