SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Sophomore Jenna Roadley (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Sturgeon Heights) shot a season-best 78 in the opening round of the Payne Stewart Memorial and the Bradley women's golf team finished the first round in 15th.

Second round action was suspended with most teams having two or three holes remaining before light rain and darkness forced the squads off the course at the par-72 Rivercut Golf Club Monday evening.  The teams will resume the second round Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. and follow it up with the scheduled third round.

Roadley was tied for 30th in the field with her season-best 78 in the day's first round to pace the Braves and was one of just two Bradley players to shoot in the 70's.  Sophomore Allison Walsh (Mt. Prospect, Ill./Mt. Prospect) started the second round one shot back of Roadley in a tie for 39th at 79.

Fellow sophomore Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb./Doniphan-Trumbull) had her team-best streak of consecutive rounds in the 70's snapped at six, with an 81* in the morning and was tied for 57th after 18 holes.  Freshman Paige Jordan (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles East) started the second round in a tie for 77th after an opening round 85 and junior Katarina Mangieri (Galesburg, Ill./Galesburg) carded an 86 to end the opener in a tie for 84th to complete the scoring for the Braves.

Bradley shot 324 to close the first round in 15th and was 28 shots back of leader Oral Roberts, which shot 296.  Wichita State was second after one round at 297 and Southern Illinois rounded out the top three at 300.  The Braves were just eight shots out of the top 10 entering the second round, however, and nine strokes back of eighth place in the 17-team field.

*Lemek's first-round score was inadvertently entered into golfstat as an 82 and the attached pdf does not indicate the correct score of 81.
