NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Freshman right-hander Eric Scheuermann allowed two runs on three hits in 6.0 innings to earn the win in his college debut and the bottom two hitters in the Bradley order combined to go 8-for-10 with four runs scored and three runs batted in, lifting the Braves (2-5) to a 13-9 victory against Ball State (3-4) Sunday afternoon at Lipscomb's Ken Dugan Field.

Scheuermann did not walk a batter and struck out three while receiving plenty of offensive support from his teammates.  After allowing an early, 4-0 lead disappear in a 7-4 loss to the Cardinals Friday afternoon, Bradley banged out 14 hits, scoring four runs in the third inning and six more in the fifth to blow out to an 11-1 lead Sunday.

Batting eighth, third baseman Paul Solka was 4-for-5 with a triple, three runs batted in and two runs scored.  Senior middle infielder David Compitello also went 4-for-5 with a double and two runs scored.

Now with riding the momentum of back-to-back wins, Bradley will head to Nevada for the first time in program history, taking part in next week's Rebel Classic at UNLV.  The Braves will challenge host UNLV Thursday (9:35 p.m. CT) and Saturday (8:05 p.m.), as well as Hawai'i Friday (4:05 p.m.) and Loyola Marymount Sunday (2 p.m.).  Bradley has never faced any of the three Rebel Classic opponents on the baseball diamond.
